Get in before the secret is out! Saba, a newcomer to the Boca Raton restaurant scene, is poised to be a big player in this upscale neighborhood. Saba features Thai and Japanese dishes aimed at health-conscious diners. I do a lot with fresh vegetables, many of which are organic, Owner and Manager Zack Gardner says. "I'm also experimenting with my recipes to eliminate all trans fat from the menu." That's good news for Boca's beautiful beach bodies hoping to keep the inches off. Light dishes like Chilean sea bass, several Thai salads, and a full sushi bar make it easy to keep it healthy. But the food isn't the only draw to Saba; a cozy dining room and a covered outdoor patio with a view of Royal Palm Plaza complete the serene experience. Although the dining room holds up to 155, the space is still very intimate, decorated with Buddhas, angels and other statues, all combining for an overall Asian feel. In the future, he plans on including Vietnamese dishes in his repertoire.
